Fred Grandchamp

Fred started our business with Robbie in June of 1978. When he graduated from Michigan Tech in 1974, he knew that he wanted to own his own business and began working toward that goal. He has over thirty years of experience in all areas of accounting and is a licensed CPA in Michigan and Wisconsin. Fred was born in Hancock but he now resides in Ishpeming with Robbie, to whom he has been married for more than thirty years.

Robbie McBride

Robbie started working part-time with Fred in the business when he started it in 1978. At that time, she was a teacher in the N.I.C.E. school district. She returned to school and graduated from NMU in accounting in 1980. She passed the exam and became a CPA in 1982. Fred and Robbie have been partners ever since. Though she was not raised in the U.P., because of her long-standing residency she considers herself a "Yooper".

Jim Prophet

Jim began working at our firm upon graduating from NMU in 1990. He became certified in 1995, and has been a partner since 1996. Jim's work ethic and commitment to quality have been great assets to the firm. Jim was born and raised in Humboldt and continues to enjoy U.P. activities such as hunting, fishing, and our short season of golf. He and Jodi, another CPA in our firm, were married in 2001 and reside in Ishpeming Township with their two children, Chase and Nora.

Jim Myers

Jim was born and raised in Escanaba, Michigan. He graduated from Lake Superior State University in 1988. Jim worked for the IRS for a number of years and has many great contacts there to resolve any problems you may encounter. Jim received his CPA license in 1998 when he finally sat for the exam after being out of school for ten years. After working out of the area for many years, Jim is happy to be back home. He now resides in Ishpeming with his family.

Brian Kehoe

Brian started at GMP as an intern in the fall of 2007. Born and raised in Menominee, MI, he is currently working toward a double major in Accounting and Chemistry at Northern Michigan University. Before starting at GMP, Brian had worked as a farmhand at his grandparents' farm in Stephenson, MI. In his free time, while not keeping his chops up on the guitar, Brian enjoys spending time with Aina, his girlfriend, and their dog, Magpie.

Mark Korpi	Email Me
Mark has been a resident of Ishpeming for his entire life. He graduated from Westwood High School in 2005, and is currently enrolled at Northern Michigan University pursuing a degree in Accounting. He joined our team in January of 2007. Mark spends his downtime with friends and family. He enjoys the outdoors and taking in sporting events.

Tammie Leece	Email Me
Tammie is a lifelong U.P. resident. She was raised in Negaunee and graduated from Negaunee High School. Tammie became a team member in December 2003. She works in our billing department and has over eight years of billing experience. Tammie lives with her husband and daughters in West Ishpeming.

Angie Meyer

Angie attended Michigan State, graduated from Ferris State in 1998, and began working for our firm in 2000. She was born and raised on a farm in Iron River, Michigan. Angie's work ethic and business savvy have been a great addition to our office. She passed the CPA exam and completed her two years of work experience in December, 2001, so she became a CPA in January, 2002. Angie lives in Negaunee with her husband and their son.

Jason Moody

Jason was a touring professional musician for nearly five years before deciding to return to academia. Having grown up in small-town Boyne City, MI, he moved eagerly to the U.P. where he finished his scholastic career at NMU in 2004. Armed with his degree in Business Computer Information Systems and a lifelong interest in technology, Jason joined the team as Network Administrator in 2005. When he’s not putting out fires or introducing new technologies at GMP, Jason enjoys racing sailboats with the Ensign fleet in Marquette or just idly pickin’ his banjo.

Dana Pelkola

Dana was born and raised in Dollar Bay. She moved to the Marquette area in 1992 and worked with businesses, helping with their accounting and tax needs. She decided to pursue a degree in accounting and graduated from NMU in 2001. She began working for our firm shortly before graduating. She became a CPA in 2004. Her practical experience and positive attitude are great for the firm. She now lives in Gwinn with her husband and their daughter. She enjoys horseback riding.

Jenn Pikka

Jenn was born and raised as a Yooper in Wakefield. She decided she wanted to pursue a degree in accounting when she took a class her senior year of high school. While attending NMU she had three internships in various areas of the accounting profession and was a tutor at the All Campus Tutoring Center. Jenn was chosen by the Walker L. Cisler College of Business as the "Outstanding Graduating Senior" and graduated Summa Cum Laude in December 2006, when she joined our team. She is currently studying to sit for the CPA exam and enjoys bowling, softball, tennis, shopping and eating ice cream.

Jodi Prophet	Email Me
Jodi is a lifetime resident of the U.P., born and raised in Ishpeming. She graduated from NMU with an accounting degree in 2000. She immediately sat for the exam and became a CPA in September of 2002. Jodi oversees the payroll and bookkeeping department at our office. She enjoys spending time with her children, Chase and Nora.

Mary Jeanne Rajala	Email Me
Like many of us at GMP, MJ was born and raised in Ishpeming. Presently, she is a Junior at NMU studying as an accounting major. She is also a violinist in the NMU Orchestra, as well as a member of both the Student Leader Fellowship Program and Beta Alpha Psi, a national organization for Financial Information students. MJ enjoys spending time at camp, hiking, volunteering, and playing the violin.

Erick Roberts	Email Me
Erick Roberts was born and raised in Ishpeming and joined the GMP team in August 2005. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Accounting in May, 2006 and became a CPA in August, 2007. In his free time, Erick enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Sally Steen-Johnson

Sally Steen-Johnson, Information System Manager, is a Gwinn native who joined our team in January 2005. Sally brought with her fifteen years of experience in office management, including eight years of experience as a technical support specialist. She has completed Master Level Microsoft Office Specialist coursework and is trained in Novell, Unix and Network+. Sally enjoys spending time with family, camping, gardening and painting.

Andrew C. Wallner

Andy was born and raised in Ishpeming and joined our team in January of 2004. He graduated with honors from Northern Michigan University in December of 2006. He is currently studying for the CPA exam and plans to begin his testing in the Spring of 2008. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending his time riding his motorcycle, waterskiing, working on his home, or enjoying the outdoors at his family camps.
