Fred Grandchamp

Fred started our business with Robbie in June of 1978.  When he graduated from Michigan Tech in 1974, he knew that he wanted to own his own business and began working toward that goal.  He has over thirty-seven years of experience in all areas of accounting and is a licensed CPA in Michigan and Wisconsin.  Fred was born in Hancock but he now resides in Marquette with Robbie, to whom he has been married for more than thirty years.

Robbie McBride

Robbie started working part-time with Fred in the business when he started it in 1978.  At that time, she was a teacher in the N.I.C.E. school district.  She returned to school and graduated from NMU in accounting in 1980.  She passed the exam and became a CPA in 1982.  Fred and Robbie have been partners ever since.  Though she was not raised in the U.P., because of her long-standing residency she considers herself a "Yooper".

Jim Prophet

Jim began working at our firm upon graduating from NMU in 1990.  He became certified in 1995, and has been a partner since 1996.  Jim's work ethic and commitment to quality have been great assets to the firm.  Jim was born and raised in Humboldt and continues to enjoy U.P. activities such as hunting, fishing, and our short season of golf.  He and Jodi, another CPA in our firm, were married in 2001 and reside in Ishpeming Township with their two children, Chase and Nora.

Ryan Ayotte

Ryan is a 2006 graduate of Negaunee High School.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Michigan University in December 2010, survived his first tax season, and is currently sitting for the CPA exam.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his fiancé, playing baseball, golfing, reffing, and watching "The Office."

Heather Cardneau

Heather Cardneau is the newest intern at GMP.  She is from Grand Blanc, Michigan and attended Grand Valley State University for two years before transferring to NMU.  She graduates in May of 2012, with a double major in Accounting and Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management.  Heather enjoys outdoor activities and really likes living in the UP.

Tammie Leece

Tammie is a lifelong U.P. resident.  She was raised in Negaunee and graduated from Negaunee High School.  Tammie became a team member in December 2003.  She works in our billing department and has over eight years of billing experience.  Tammie lives with her husband and daughters in West Ishpeming.

Angie Meyer

Angie attended Michigan State, graduated from Ferris State in 1998, and began working for our firm in 2000.  She was born and raised on a farm in Iron River, Michigan.  Angie's work ethic and business savvy have been a great addition to our office.  She passed the CPA exam and completed her two years of work experience in December, 2001, so she became a CPA in January, 2002.  Angie lives in Negaunee with her husband and their son.

Frankie Mueller

Frankie grew up in Watersmeet MI and graduated from Marquette Senior High School.  She spent time in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician, specializing in Satellite systems and Telecommunications.  After the Navy, Frankie earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies from the University of Phoenix.  She currently lives west of Ishpeming with her two chihuahuas, Max and Brutus.  She enjoys quilting and digitial stitch designing in her off-time.

Joe Nurmi

Joe was a resident of Felch until he joined the GMP team a few days after graduating from NMU in December of 2009.  With a degree in Accounting and Corporate Finance he is currently working towards obtaining his CPA license.  Outside of work Joe stays busy by mountain biking, backpacking, hunting and fishing.

Kyle O'Donnell

Kyle was born in Marquette and has been a life-long resident.  He graduated from Northern Michigan University in December of this year summa cum laude.  While at NMU, he worked in the Micro Repair Department as a laptop technician.  He is Comp TIA A+ and Comp TIA Server+ certified.  Kyle looks forward to becoming a CPA and living and working in the UP.  His interests include working out and reading.

Erik Paveglio

Erik is a lifelong resident of Ishpeming.  He graduated from Northern Michigan University with an Accounting degree and is looking forward to passing the exam and becoming a CPA.  Erik enjoys crossfitting, being outdoors and participating in sports.

Jenn Pikka

Jenn was born and raised as a Yooper in Wakefield.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Michigan University in December 2006, when she joined our team.  Jenn became certified in February 2010 and resides in Marquette with her fiancé, Andy and their dog, Skip.  In her free time she enjoys bowling, softball, tennis, riding her motorcycle and watching sports, especially hockey.

Jodi Prophet

Jodi is a lifetime resident of the U.P., born and raised in Ishpeming.  She graduated from NMU with an accounting degree in 2000.  She immediately sat for the exam and became a CPA in September of 2002.  Jodi oversees the payroll and bookkeeping department at our office.  She enjoys spending time with her children, Chase and Nora.

Mary Jeanne Rajala

Like many of us at GMP, MJ was born and raised in Ishpeming.  MJ graduated in 2010 and presently she is studying to take the CPA exam.  MJ enjoys spending time at camp, hiking, volunteering, and playing the violin.

Erick Roberts

Erick Roberts was born and raised in Ishpeming and joined the GMP team in August 2005.  He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Accounting in May, 2006 and became a CPA in August, 2007.  In his free time, Erick enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Sally Steen

A Gwinn native, Sally Steen, Information Systems Manager, joined our team in January 2005.  Sally brings to the team over 22 years of experience in office management, including eight years of experience as a technical support specialist.  She has completed Master Level Microsoft Office Specialist coursework and is trained in Novell, Unix and Network+.  She resides in Gwinn with her beagle, Abigail and when she's not at the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, kayaking, gardening and painting.

Andrew C. Wallner

Andy was born and raised in Ishpeming and joined our team in January of 2004.  He graduated with honors from Northern Michigan University in December of 2006 and received his CPA certification in February 2010.  When he is not at work, he enjoys spending his time riding his motorcycle, waterskiing, working on his home, or enjoying the outdoors at his family camps.
